Police have been out in the Cotswolds helping to clear the damage caused by Storm Eunice.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team has been clearing roads of debris to ensure they are safe for motorists.

This comes as Gloucestershire's Local Resilience Forum this morning declared a major incident.

A red weather alert and flood warnings running along the Severn Estuary have been put in place

A statement from Gloucestershire Constabulary read: "Police and our partners are now advising against all but essential travel in the morning. This will help keep everyone safe and reduce demand on services, which is expected to be very high.

"Local agencies are asking residents in properties that are expected to flood to heed the warnings and take the necessary action. Residents across the county as a whole also need to be vigilant due to the high winds."
